Several floral arrangements were stolen from outside Simply Flowers and Gifts in Dickinson, according to the Dickinson Police Department.

About nine flower pots filled with planted flowers were stolen between Sunday and Monday, said Dana Pletan, owner. They were worth about $300, she said.

“I did have a couple of them sold,” Pletan said. “They were sitting outside so that, you know, they could get sun.”

She had to buy supplies to replace the arrangements she had already sold.

Pletan said the most angering part of the theft is one of the arrangements had sentimental value.

“One of the pots out there was given to me from one of the girls that works with me and it was handmade,” Pletan said.

Nothing else was stolen or damaged, she said.

Police say the theft is under investigation.
