WATERTOWN, S.D. (AP) — A caravan of old-time tractors is making its way through the Dakotas.

Twenty-seven antique Allis Chalmers tractors left Oakes, N.D., on Tuesday on a three-day ride to Madison, S.D. A few more tractors joined in Watertown on Wednesday, bringing the total to 32.

The official "gathering of the orange" event is Friday through Sunday at Prairie Village just west of Madison.

Oakes, N.D., resident Jim Rooney (ROAN'-ee), one of the caravan organizers, says there'll be a parade around town when the group gets to Madison.

The gathering is one of only two such events held nationwide each year.
