(WDAY TV) - Crops in our area look promising, but are the prices? Minnesota's Ag Commissioner, Gene Hugoson is crossing the state listening to growers and producers.

In Fergus Falls today, Hugoson heard from dairy and hog farmers who are battling record low prices and despite a good growing season, wheat and corn producers are looking at great yields, but lousy pay for all the work.

“The cycle we had in the past have tended to hope at the end they were you could see light at the end of the tunnel this is not looking that way we have to look at reducing supplies.”

Hugoson says farm groups need to target overseas markets more in order to move commodities.
