BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A hearing is scheduled next month on a 175-megawatt wind farm planned in Dickey County.
It's proposed by Roughrider Wind LLC, a division of Nextera Energy. Nextera, which used to be known as FPL Energy, is considered a leader in wind generation.
North Dakota Public Service Commissioner Tony Clark says Dickey County is a prime area for wind energy development. He says the proposal shows North Dakota's wind power potential.
A hearing is scheduled April 28 in Ellendale.
