Pierce County Farm Technology Days committees invite area residents to give family and friends some uniquely local holiday gifts.

Pierce County Farm Technology Days committees invite area residents to give family and friends some uniquely local holiday gifts.

Potential presents include “A Taste of Pierce County” cookbooks, a variety of shirts and caps, tote bags and 10-inch collector stuffed animals.

All items have the official “Power of Agriculture: Farm Technology Days Pierce County 2010” logo.

The shirts cost $10 to $25, depending upon type. The caps are $10 apiece, and the stuffed animals sell for $8 each or three for $20. The tote bags are $18. The cookbooks, which sell for $15, offer 732 recipes from more than 225 county residents.

All are available at the UW-Extension office in the Pierce County Office Building in Ellsworth, or go to the website (www.piercefarmtech.com) and print out an order form for mail delivery.

Proceeds from the sales will help support 2010 Farm Technology Days, which will be held in July at the Roger and Bev Peterson farm.

The cookbooks can also be purchased in Ellsworth at Bank Mutual, Associated Bank, Ellsworth Co-op Creamery and M&I Bank.
