A Fertile, Minn., woman was injured Wednesday afternoon when her vehicle was involved in a collision with a sugar beet truck near Crookston, Minn.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Kimberly Vaughan, 49, was driving a vehicle along Polk County Road 9, about one-half mile west of U.S. Highway 75 at about 4:03 p.m. when the vehicle struck the rear end of a beet truck operated by Kindra Hoffman, 24.
Vaughan had to be extracted from the vehicle and was transported by ambulance to Riverview Hospital in Crookston. No injury report was immediately available.
Hoffman was not injured.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation. Also assisting at the scene were the Crookston Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol Crookston Fire Department and Crookston Ambulance Service.
