Agweek is preparing a cover story on the future of agriculture on the Northern Plains.

We’re getting input from various ag officials, including commodity and farm group leaders. But we want to include comments from readers, too.

What do you think area agriculture will look like in 2022? Will the trend of bigger, more technologically advanced farms, ranches and agribusinesses continue? What will happen to smaller operations that are looking for market niches to develop and expand?

Send your written responses — two or three paragraphs will suffice — to Agweek reporter Jonathan Knutson at jknutson@agweek.com or addressed to him at Agweek, 375 2nd Ave. N., Grand Forks, N.D., 58201.

Please include your name, place of residence and a short description of what you do. (Example: Bill Jones, Anytown, S.D., retired farmer.) We also would like a head-and-shoulders photo of you.

We need to have the written responses and other information no later than noon Feb. 10.

If you have questions, please contact Knutson at his email address above or his direct telephone line, (701) 780-1111.
