FARGO, N.D. — The U.S. Department of Agriculture has lowered its estimates of North Dakota soybean and corn production.

USDA's November production report pegs the state's soybean crop at 111 million bushels, down 3 percent from October and down 20 percent from 2010. The corn crop is estimated at 226 million bushels, down 9 percent both from last month and over the year.

Production of dry edible peas, lentils and potatoes also is down significantly from last year in North Dakota, where many acres went unplanted this year because of wet conditions.
