ND corn, soybean estimates fall over the month

FARGO, N.D. — Estimates of North Dakota's corn and soybean crops have each fallen 6 percent over the month.

FARGO, N.D. — Estimates of North Dakota's corn and soybean crops have each fallen 6 percent over the month.

The Agriculture Department in its October crop production report pegs the North Dakota corn crop at 248 million bushels and the soybean crop at 115 million bushels.

The corn crop is virtually unchanged from last year while the soybean crop is down 17 percent. The dry edible bean, sunflower and canola crops also are down significantly from last year in North Dakota, which was hit hard this year by wet weather and flooding.
