Weeks after farmer Glenn French died of cancer, other farmers in the Powell Valley gathered together to harvest the fields he planted last spring.

Around 50 people showed up to help one weekend last month to make sure French's fields were harvested successfully.

The Powell Tribune reports that French farmed around 300 acres. After his diagnosis, another farmer took over roughly 140 acres of rented land, while French continued to maintain his barley and hay crops on about 200 acres.
