Director chosen for SD research arm

BROOKINGS, S.D. — A researcher and scientist at the University of Montreal in Canada has been named director of the Agricultural Experiment Station within South Dakota State University.

BROOKINGS, S.D. — A researcher and scientist at the University of Montreal in Canada has been named director of the Agricultural Experiment Station within South Dakota State University.

Daniel Scholl will become the AES director and an associate dean in the College of Agriculture and Biological Sciences on Aug. 22.

The Agricultural Experiment Station was created in 1887 to conduct research.

John Kirby resigned as the director last summer to join the University of Rhode Island.
