COPENHAGEN, Denmark — The European Environment Agency says the continent has made some progress in cutting emissions and expanding refnewable energy but needs to do more.
An agency report says that the 27-member bloc must adapt to impacts of climate change and cut transport emissions that grew by 24 percent between 1990 and 2008 in the union.
The Copenhagen-based agency’s report urges EU members “to increase integrated actions across different policy areas dealing with these challenges.”
The report, published every five years, was presented Tuesday in Brussels.
