ND farmers wrapping up several harvests

FARGO, N.D. — North Dakota farmers are close to completing the dry edible bean, flaxseed, potato and sugar beet harvests thanks to dry weather over the past week.

FARGO, N.D. — North Dakota farmers are close to completing the dry edible bean, flaxseed, potato and sugar beet harvests thanks to dry weather over the past week.

The Agriculture Department also says in its weekly crop and weather report that the corn and soybean harvests in the state are ahead of the average pace, at 22 percent and 90 percent complete, respectively.

About one-fourth of the sunflowers are in the bin, also ahead of average.

Pasture and range conditions in North Dakota are rated 67 percent good to excellent. Stockwater supplies are 95 percent adequate to surplus.
