ND shipping hub using intermodal containers

MINOT, N.D. — Officials on Monday launched an intermodal facility at Minot.

Intermodal containers can be shipped by truck, rail and ships to markets around the world. They’ll be used at the North Dakota Port Services facility.

Rep. Earl Pomeroy says the intermodal capability is a milestone in expanding transportation services. The North Dakota Democrat says it makes North Dakota Port Services an even more important shipping hub.
