BISMARCK, N.D. — Italian millers are visiting North Dakota.

The state Wheat Commission says the 13 representatives from the largest durum-importing country will gain a better understanding of the U.S. wheat marketing system during the visit Thursday and Friday.

North Dakota is the largest durum-producing state in the nation. Farmers last year produced about 61 million bushels.

In a typical year, Italy imports about 11 million bushels of the grain used for pasta.
