LINCOLN, Neb. — Climate experts in Nebraska will give their best guesses on what the weather will do this year.

The state’s Climate Assessment and Response Committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday morning in Lincoln.

Typically, officials give a broad overview that includes how global weather indicators, such as ocean temperatures, may affect weather in the state.

Soil-moisture levels important to farming are also usually provided.

A primary responsibility of the state climate committee is to help plan for drought.
