DICKINSON - District 1 elections for the North Dakota Wheat Commission representatives are at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 27 at the Elks Lodge in Dickinson.
Elections have been going on for county and district representatives in the region.
Elections conducted to date have resulted in the following: Steve Wegner, Reeder, Adams County; Loren Bock, Belfield, Billings County; Mark Kelner, Bowman, Bowman County; William Flaget, Halliday, Dunn County; Gary Hardy, Beach, Golden Valley County; Harlan Klein, Elgin, Grant County; David Anderson, Hettinger, Hettinger County; Ernest Holzener, Amidon, Slope County; Gary Knell, Hazen, Mercer County; Patrick Doll, New Salem, Oliver County and Jeff Kuhn, Dickinson, Stark County.
According to a recent press release, the elected county representatives meet in their districts to elect a commissioner for the 2008-2012 elected term.
During each election, there is a ballot for nominations then a vote. Each elector must win by a majority. North Dakota State University county extension agents conduct the elections.
