This time of the year, just about everyone who’s hosting a holiday party is looking for new appetizer recipes. Make-ahead dips such as this Spicy Artichoke one from French’s will fit the bill.

Spicy Artichoke Dip

1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened

½ cup sour cream

3 tablespoons French’s Classic Yellow Mustard

¼ teaspoon curry powder (optional)

1 14-ounce can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

1 cup diced green or red bell peppers

2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion

Beat cream cheese, sour cream, mustard and curry powder in medium bowl until creamy.

Stir in remaining ingredients. If desired, spoon into bowl lined with red cabbage leaves.

Serve with cut-up vegetables.

Yield: Serves 12 (¼ cup).

Variation: Substitute chili powder for the curry powder, and add ½ cup shredded spicy Jack cheese.
