MINOT — Crews are tearing down the grandstand on the North Dakota State Fair grounds in Minot.
Much of the work was done Tuesday. Fair manager Bob Wagoner says the rest of the structure will be bulldozed over the next couple of days.
The structure being torn down is more than 50 years old. State lawmakers earlier this year authorized $15 million for a new 7,000-seat grandstand that should be ready next year.
