Swine flu case at Bloomington school

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — The Bloomington School District is telling parents that a student at Jefferson High School has been diagnosed with swine flu.

The district says it's seen an increase in the number of students reporting flu-like symptoms last week at its elementary, middle and high schools. But the Jefferson High case is the only one confirmed to be swine flu.

Earlier, the St. Paul School District reported its first confirmed case of swine flu in a student at Benjamin E. Mays elementary school.

As of Wednesday, the state Health Department had confirmed 75 cases of swine flu in Minnesota, including 52 in the metro area.
