Brief: New Members Elected to Councils

ST. PAUL — Agriculture producers in Minnesota have elected new members to serve on four commodity research and promotion councils.

ST. PAUL — Agriculture producers in Minnesota have elected new members to serve on four commodity research and promotion councils.

Those from the area elected to the various councils include Jay Bakken of Rock County, serving District 7 on the Beef Research and Promotion Council; and Ron Obermoller of Jackson County, serving District 7 on the Soybean Research and Pomotion Council.

Both Bakken and Obermoller will serve three-year terms on the councils, which play an important role in coordinating the ongoing development and promotion of farm products such as grains and meats.
