Renewable Energy Communications Webinar Series

4R Communications is conducting a series of webinars to help professional communicators deliver effective and impactful messaging about renewables. “Big oil has successfully communicated their messages regardless of facts,” said Joanna Schroeder, Principal of 4R Communications. “For many years, they have lobbied against the renewable energy industry and today they are beginning to position themselves to take it over. In order to dethrone big oil, the renewable energy arena needs to consider adopting similar tactics.” The Communicating Reneawbles Webinar Series is designed specifically to help arm communications professionals with the tools they will need to tackle the challenging task of getting the positive message about renewable energy, technologies and research out to consumers, stakeholders, policy leaders, and the media. The series of six seminars will feature communications topics ranging from social networking, to coalition building and “pit bull media tactics”. The first webinar is Tuesday, June 2, 2009 and features Jay Byrne, President of v-Fluence. His topic, “Social Networking: The New Range War,” will educate communicators about the successful tactics advocacy groups use to gain consumer support and how the renewable energy industry can adopt similar tactics online for greater success.
