Dicamba application notification requirement removed

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Agriculture announced on Nov. 28 the 2018 North Dakota-specific protocols for in-crop use of Dicamba on soybeans.

The requirement previously proposed that Dicamba could not be applied unless the NDDA was given prior notification will be removed from the label.

“Discussions with the agricultural industry on mitigating off-target applications have also involved conversations on notification to the NDDA to discourage fraudulent record-keeping,” Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said. “We believe that gathering more data and encouraging accurate recordkeeping will help us avoid any notification requirement in the future.”
