Hay bale removal extended in some ND areas

BISMARCK, N.D. — Farmers and ranchers in some parts of North Dakota are getting a little more time to remove hay bales from roadside ditches, because of wet weather.

The state Transportation Department says the deadline to remove bales has been ex-tended until Nov. 15 in the Minot, Valley City, Devils Lake and Fargo districts.

State law sets a Nov. 1 deadline for hay removal, for snow management and safety reasons.
